LOL this was one of the first massive team shooters. 64 player I believe. Was a pretty good game for its time. Still have it laying around here somewhere.
 
I played this game a lot for several years after it came out (including the time prior during beta testing). However, I finally grew weary of some of the glitches/bugs the game/engine suffered from and stopped playing a couple years ago or so. I haven't played since, so maybe some of the more common problems have been fixed. Despite those issues, it was still a very fun and addictive game and there are tons of maps available made for JO, JO:E, and the IC mod.

If anyone is here picking it up for the first time, I highly recommend you download and install the International Conflict mod for JO:E. Downloads for the IC mod, updates for JO, etc. can be found here. For the IC:Europe mod (a European-themed version of IC? -- never tried it), instead of installing all of the patches from the previous link, you can use the full 2.0.0 installer from here.

It is mostly multiplayer, although there are single player training mission-type stuff you can do offline IIRC.

I might have to reinstall it sometime and have some fun all over again 😉
