Joining two partitions on separate drives into 1 partition in linux

I currently have a 6 gig partition on my first drive in my redhat linux 6.2 machine. I just added a 10 gig drive to the machine, and would like to make the 10 gig on the second drive and the 6 gig on the first drive appear as one partition to the OS to become a single 16 gig partition. Does anyone know how I could do this?
