Here is my situation. I have a laptop that I share with my friend and we both take it into our repective works.. Each has a different domain.
Is there an easy way to set it up so when I log in under my account it holds my domain settings and does not effect other users. As it is right now anytime I join my domian I have to disjoin it from his.

If nothing else just looking to be pointed in the right direction.

I take it that your OS is an NT derivative? If so bad news - your machine can't be a member of multiple domains - this is by design - being a domain member changes quite a few characteristics of the NT's security account manager.

If you had ownership of both domains one could be made to trust the other. It doesn't sound like this is possible though. But your computer would still only be a member of one of those domains.

Generally you can still connect to domain resources from non-domain workstations - but you'll get password prompts for every domain resource you'll try to use. There are some other tricks you can do in batch files to help alleviate prompting etc. but there is no total workaround without domain trust.
