Hi folks, just got the pm, figured I'd respond in public...

I haven't been around much lately, I managed to rid myself of the stats lust a while ago and decided it would be a little healthier not to get caught up in it again 😛

As you may recall, I turned down this offer once before. I honestly thought I was going to make it on my own but I had some mishaps with a stack of cached units 🙁

Anyways, I'd like to take you up on the offer but only if you're really looking around for people to help (if you don't have any other obvious targets atm). I'd like nothing better than to join your team after reaching 10g but I simply don't think I'd be agile enough to switch targets all the time. It's not that I don't want to hang with y'all, it's just that I'm purposely remaining apathetic about dc 😉 I'm also going on a 4 month trip in September and I won't have easy access to my desktops to switch them.

So I'm curious, is there any sort of long running project that you or others have that I could set my machines on and leave them after hitting 10g? Like someone who's a long way from 10g that you're just moving up slowly... Otherwise I wouldn't feel right about taking the gift 🙂

It is not a requirement of the boost to help back in return ,though of course if you want/are able to its welcomed🙂.
We don't have any long term targets at this point so don't worry about it.

You know I'd forgotten that we'd already considered him 😱 ,thanks for reminding me😉.
Looking back on the previous thread we'd come to the decision that we'd help him after we'd done our current list.However a few of them will take along time & we may not have enough time.

Assuming Kamper accepts the boost I suggest we take him to 10k & then give Hurricane Andrew a boost afterwards to 5k.What do you guys reckon?
That'll also bring HA a little closer to one of our criteria btw😉 (he's been with TA 5mths now so not far off).

Which is :-

Active in SETI (or at least very recently)
Be contactable!
Been a TA member continuously for at least 6mths

Err ,I think that's all of them!😱 ,I'm not sure as their not written down😉
We prefer them to be active in the forums too but that's not really a hard & fast rule
Have I missed any folks?

Sorry, I just got back from a nearly 2 week internet free treck through Tennesse, Arkansas, Texas, and finally back to NC. Found out my desktop had been off for god only knows how long, and that during the time it had crunched Esko's now well over 10k. Can someone please send me the new target's email?
