Wierd!😕
Are you using SETIDriver by any chance? ,if so you need to delete the userinfo.sah out of each folder to make a full switch

My main cruncher has been down due to needing a new PSU. Finally got another one today, so should be up again in a couple hours.

Yes ... I got a batch file from HayHauler and used it ... I also use Seti Spy ... could that have anything to do with it ... the other desktop does not use setiSpy ...😕

It seems that Seti Spy is the problem. I don't use it, so I don't know how to tell you
to change user accounts. The batch file deletes the user_info.sah files out of the
Seti directory and directories 1-20, for cached WU's.

 for you,
HayHauler

I believe that this is true ... so for now I will contribute the WU's from the other laptop ... I every 5 hours ...

😕

Does that mean that if you are partially through crunching a WU, you can continue crunching that WU for the next recipient?
I've just been deleting the folders and starting from scratch 😕

Yes , just stop (Exit ) the process ... deltete the userinfo data ... and then restart it ... it will ask for info ... get this info and then copy it into all the respective directories ...

Works well ... except with setispy ... 😎

Just one question, how long have you been with TA?

(stats soon)

I would guess about 30 days or so ... I have been processing Seti fies since 2002 ... did not even know about teams ... just placed the machine in auto mode and let it run .. as for being with you folks... The main reason that I joined to begin with was I was looking for information on the CLI and how to run it and your or rather Smoke's site can up with the information that I requested ... and after chatting with SMoke from Mississippi .. I was really impressed with the idea of joining a team ... Hense your team was selected ... I have 3 machines processing Seti Files ... on is a 800MB machine that processing 1 unit every 25 hours 1 2.19GHZ with 512MB ram (HP) processing processing 1 wu at 2hr 50 minutes and then the last is a 2.40 GHZ 256MB Ram (V2 Premier) that takes 5hr and 15 minutes to process a WU I thinks that is kinda slow and would like to figure out how to speed it up ... I am litterate about computers but not on all the settings ...

NOW back to your original question ... I guess that I started your project with aboutr 534 units with I would guess around the 16th of August ... so If units are wished to be thrown my way fine ... if not fine to ... just assist me in getting the 2.40Ghs machine to crunch faster as that is the one deicated to the TA Booster Club and the faster it goes the more I can contribute to the Team ...

Long winded .. Sorry ...

That's not long winded around here😉 ,no need to apologise
A PIII or Athlon 800 should do WUs in about 8-8.5hrs ,so I would say that both the 800 (PIII is it?) & the P4? 2.4GHz were under performing by a lot!.Are you running the GUI/scrn saver version on those?

I somehow forgot that you were in Taboo! ,sorry😱 ,in which case I'd say you are well deserving for a boost to 5k even though you've been with us for less than the stated 6(?)mths 🙂 ,however I'd like TaBoo to take a vote on this one.
It'll be quite a bit of work for TaBoo but that saves us from switching over every week! 😉

All Taboo members take note ,please read the above paragraph & cast your vote
It can be done via PM if prefered.
Even though he's not been with us for the usual minimium of 6months he's a TaBoo member & is clearly an active forum member🙂
What do ya reckon guys?

[edit]I think the minimium was 6mths!😱
