The barton is about to be shut down :(

I have a *few* wu's with coolkid's account...can i transfer them over to curt's by editing the username to curt's email? or by simply removing all the user_sah files from each folder and then renaming seti to Curt's....thereby making each Wu count for curt automatically..

someone let me know b/c there are a *few* there ;)

I think you have to edit the WU aswell as the user_info.sah :)

I'm not sure howto do it myself, but ill look into it when i get home if nobody posts how before then ;)

If you mess around with the results you might make them invalid! ,I suggetst you try it with just 1 to start with ,JIC.

Hmm ,thinking about it that's partly my fault!,I switched my rigs immeditatley but I had to shut off my 2nd rig last night cos I had my son sleeping over & we've also been playing a lot of Freelancer so my main rig hasn't done much SETI! :eek:

well also the server have been down.

I dont dump regularly b/c i would hate to get a sudden fleeting Dose of mega-lag in my game right in the middle of a firefight or something of that nature..and truth be told..i forget about it :D

i def. think that those Wu's from the barton came through as Coolkid's even though every user_sah file was changed both in the4 Wu folder and the main user_sah file... :/

i dunno,..it said coolkid but every information that might've had coolkid was delted and changed to curt oien's :S....i am lost! lol :Q

I think the actual output is due to networkingman! (which i shamelessly forgot to WElcome!!!!!!):D:beer::heart::gift::music::moon::wine::p:sun::);)

When the time comes, please let me know the necessary info on the next victim.

It's been a while since I have crunched for someone else and my old-timers addled brain can't recall exactly what I did to switch back and forth. I use SETI Driver and think I ran out the cached WUs I had and reinstalled everything from scratch with the new info.

Should I let my cached WUs run down as I reach 10,000 and reinstall everything or can I just change something in the files that will already be there?

"SETI@home user for 4.618 years" I seem to recall that this was originally going to be a 2 year project. Do you think we will make it to 5?

I'll doubt very much it'll go to 5yrs ,won't be far off though.

Re switching users with SETIDriver ,just delete the user_info.sah files in all the folders within SETIDriver(cached& external).It'll ask when you restart it for the email add.You can even do it mid way through a WU too without losing work:)

i came home to find my crunchers....doing nothing..this was after about a 12 hr. workday...and i left prior to this so i have no clue how long they were off..i can only assume most of the day :(
