I am a registered user of the Anadtech forums and a user of seti@home. I want to become a memeber of the Seti Team Anadtech. How do I do this without losing all of my work units etc?

I have a computer at work where seti is installed also, since I work for the government of course they don't care if my computer runs 24/7. This will be good for some work units for the team.

What do you mean by "losing work units"? What is your concern?

Any WUs you do are always credited to you, and are not lost.

When you join a team, the team gets credit for them as well. You don't have to change emails.

NOTE: If you are currently a member of another team, they WILL lose credit for the WUs, as they all go with you. If that is a concern, you can always create a new email to join TA with. 😀

To join Team Anandtech, go Here enter your SETI email addy and SETI password, click on the Join Group button. It's that easy. 😀

You will first need to get the password for your account if you haven't already. You can get that here.

Once you do this Berkeley will email your password to you. If you have hotmail, it will show in your junk mail folder. Make sure that you have the delete junk mail option set to delayed.

Next you go here and enter the information.

Next thing you know you are on the TeAm with all your WUs intact.

I've joined team anandtech in hopes of crushing the opposition 😀 One question..I've gotten my passwaord and all.Was just wondering how I go about checking out my stat's and everyone else's ?

Go here to check your individual stats.

You then can click on TeAm Anandtech and that will give you the TeAm's stats.

Here is a link to the top 200 groups.
 
Cool, thanks I joined the team. I just wanted to make sure that the credit for the work I have already done didnt get lost. Id hate to loose the 51 data units I have done.

I would never misguide you Crazee! 😉 Engineer is just talking the talk for the race. It's all in fun. SETI@home is the big winner no matter who wins (that would be DSLR team Starfire!).

stopped runnin seti a few months ago, not sure why, started up again, ~6hr per wu..18 so far...

I work at a DOE physics lab and they won't let me run any DC app. 🙁 You are lucky.
 
How are we doing against those turkeys? I have my home computer and my work computer turning units. I am trying to convince my wife to let me install on her machine and the guest machine. I am tempted to take my laptop into work, hook it up and let it run 24/7. HE HE HE HE HE HE
