What a bunch of drones. Could any group of people be more like sheep?

In 30 years, I've watched people literally die, all the while believing that they were going to become rich. When will people stop and think? 🙁

How do people get so sucked into cult-ish crap like that?
 
My ex-wife's family got sucked into that. They are the definition of poor and have been for the 20 years I've known them, yet they still think it will work for them.... it's really kind of sad....

 
I really hate Amway, and I despise their salesmen.

When I was in college, I sold electronics at Sears. It must be in the Amway playbook to recruit department store salesmen, because it seemed like every week I had at least one of them proposition me to sell their crap. I could spot them right away, because each of them would start the conversation like this: "You seem like you're an exceptional salesperson. I'm starting a new business venture..." I would immediately cut them off in mid-sentence and say "If you're selling Amway, I'm not interested. Now do you want to buy a tv or not?" The end result was that they would get really mad and leave me alone - mission accomplished.
 
you do not know what you are talking about. Amway can give you an extremely comfortable lifestyle. you just have to be the one that thinks it up and find a few people weasily enough too perpetuate the scheme.
 
There is one program that actually works but I just never got into it, but I do buy their products. They are called Melaleuca. Anybody heard of them? I'm not trying to spam but there products are really good.

i seriously thought this was a parody of a religious zealot thread.
 
Most wealthy people in this country inherited their wealth . The others are either
entrepreneurs(Gates/Jobs/Allen,ect) or are sucessful Drs/Lawyers/Cpa's or are very good at their ceo jobs . Very few people have attained wealth and held it by being involved in a sales scheme of any kind(amway/dare to be great/ect).




 
I think they're now called quixtar since the mere mention of the word Amway will drive people away.
I was a n00b that tried it out during college and quickly got out. They used the same techniques that cults use...ie sleep deprivation, alienating you from your freinds and family, etc.
I can easily spot them out too. Barnes & Noble is like their feeding ground. If someone randomly starts talking to you at B&N, chances are they are in Amway. They'll see what you're reading and initiate a conversation. The conversation usually ends up like, "hey, we should play golf sometime, are you in the phonebook?"
The following sunday the amway group will get together with all the phone numbers that they have collected and call you up. They even have a script they read.
I can write a book about my experiences.

I did not finish my sentence on the die part. What I meant is, I have seen people who I knew like 30+ years ago, invest their souls in it, but died broke anyway.
What inspired this thread was, yesterday at the office, it was overheard that a gal was having money problems. One of the co-workers said "join AmWay Now! LOL 🙂

A very small percentage of wealth in this country is inherited wealth.
