Went to the mall today today to see Snakes on a Plane and went to Johnny Rockets
Almost $5 for a burger that was the size of a Bigmac and tasted worse with no fries :|

Wife got a burger/fries/drink combo for almost $9

Burgers run from almost $5-$6 and fries and a soda are $3.89 more :Q

Anyway we wont be going back.

It's a bad rip-off of Gunther Toody's

Johnny Rockets sucks. El Pollo Rico FTW (best $4.09 chicken, fries and slaw in arlington Va). I'm chowin down on it right now. mmmmmm greasy keyboard....

I ate there when I went to the Newport Aquarium last month. I wanted to go to a nicer place but the girl I was with insisted on Johnny Rocket's. It was crowded, the burger was mediocre and the food prep area looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day. Bad experience. I won't be returning.

I lived close to one in Atlanta in the late 90's, and ate there all the time. I liked the food, although it was grease-soaked and guaranteed a speedy trip back to the apartment shortly after the meal.

Newport thats in Kentucky right?

the food is ok on land... but when you eat at a Johnny Rocket at sea al fresco, everything tastes much better!

Haha that's what I was thinking. Didn't know these places existed on land. 😀

RCCL has JR we have the Blue Lagoon. 🙂

Yeah it's okay. I like their basic burger and shake, and the atmosphere is fun. Definately overpriced though. It's like the Rainforest Cafe, overpriced average food with a fun environment.

Exactly but the atmosphere at Rainforest is much better

Yessir.

I don't know if it's just the local Rockets... but you're paying about $12+ (after tip) for a $5 meal (in taste, size and quality), and the only thing you really get out of it is a cheap 50's wannabe environment and service by people that were probably the same reason Denny's went down the drain in the area.

For anybody who has not been there, the Newport Aquarium is awesome

But stay away from JR 😉
