Come on man. He was blowing pass those kids. No regular HS student is doing jack shit to challenge him at the basket.

UK will have some serious talent, but I could see them having some ups and downs stemming from the coaching change or individual players' attitudes.

Huh, I guess they don't call traveling in high school, just like the NBA.

Wall Breaking and Entering.

Did you bother reading the article?

"The break-in at an unoccupied house for sale at 3924 Laurel Glen Drive in Raleigh.

"He was not arrested. He was simply given a citation that we are fully cooperating with the DA's office to resolve this matter as soon as possible," his attorney, Anna Smith, said."

"There was no forced entry at the residence and no indication that anything was taken from it. "

So he went into a vacant house that's up for sale. He didn't cause any damage and he didn't use forced entry. I mean give me a break. The kid doesn't sound like a thug, he sounds like a KID doing dumb things. He wasn't tagging anything, doing drugs, drinking, stealing or doing anything reckless.

Another lifelong Kentucky resident and UK fan here. I'm super excited about the upcoming season, I just hope all this new talent can mesh well together along with the leaders we have on the team currently. We can have all the talent in the world, but if they don't play well together, then it doesn't matter.

That pretty much seals the deal for UK to be a top 5 team next year. Good luck CATS. Meeks will be back. Wall doesn't seem to favor either hand, very dangerous.

Looks good, but too many dunks, and I freaking hate how these days guys always seem to block shots as hard as they can and just fire the ball out of bounds. What the hell is the point of that? Drives me nuts. Howard does this all the freaking time.

It prevents a basket. That's the whole point. Yes your opponent gets the ball back, but you stopped a basket/points. It also gets into the shooter/driver's head.

A PG doesn't really need to. A PG needs ball handling/passing skills which seem to be really good with Wall. If he does have an outside shot that's gravy.

Nickname for a point guard is a point giver.

From what I've read, his jump shot is the weakest part of his game. However, under Calipari's offense, you might not ever notice.

A PG in today's game who is going to be 'a monster' needs a complete game. Otherwise he's just a pretty good guard. (Of course I'm talking about the NBA here because the forced one year between HS/NBA is the only bs reason these guys even show up in college)

What's wild to me is that anyone could even connect that incident to the word 'thug'. Must be something else going on here that would to the assumption. No idea how many vacant houses I've ever been in, houses under construction, etc.

Derrick Rose is still working on his jump shot. At this point Wall has all the athletic talent he needs to get to the next level and all the fundamentals for a PG. His slashing and distribution ability is gonn make it way easier for kentucky's other shooters to drain the 3s.

Good point. I don't watch the NBA other than the playoffs but seem to remember Rose having a pretty decent jumper while at Memphis. I did just look up his stats on nba.com and it looks like he did have a pretty horrible year from the 3PT line.

I'm just a jealous Vols fan waiting for Calipari to finally get caught on all the recruiting violations that went unnoticed in Memphis. :p

Yes, but back in the day, decent shot blockers would be able to get the ball out to one of their own, not just slam it out of bounds and posture like idiots as so many of them do today. I would guess it only truly prevents a basket about 60-70% of the time, which is good, but still, so many of those are not even going to get close to going in.

Being a Timberwolves fan and having been cornholed by David Stern in the lottery yet again, I look forward to watching John Wall play for another team.
