He mentioned "missing buildings in NY".

Did he mention a second war in Iraq?
Not exactly, but he did mention bogus claims of WMD.

Now, if someone who claims to know the future would say something like "X thing will happen on date Y", and it did, that would be a good proof that he/she knows the future.
He said that CERN would have the breakthrough of creating the artificial microsingularities needed for Time Travel within the next year back in November 2000. And here ya go

If I NOW made up a homepage with dates from 2001 and post it here, would you believe me?

I read what he said about CERN, but not about the NY buildings or WMD. Where do you see those quotes?

BTW: If you are going to make an intellegent post on the subject, please read the webpage first so your not asking "why not go back and kill Hitler?", take ten minutes to read up on quantum mechanics and time travel (or don't, your smart enough already)

So where's the pic of the 20 dollar bill he left with the year 2005 on it? What? He didn't leave it? Then there's no proof he's from the future is there.

This is funny as well since Omaha Nebraska is a first strike nuclear target as that is where Strategic Air Command is located at.

Here is link to stock trader story...Hoax

Just FYI, SAC no longer exists. It's been absorbed by ACC and Space Command

I vote I don't believe. Here is why.

The theory of energy conservation won't allow it. If Titor came from the future. Some mass-energy presumably disappeared there, where would this energy go? And he just appeared here, so there must be some energy created this instant. Let us call his disappearing as "cold" energy, and his appearing as "hot" energy. If you take something ice cold from A to B in exchange for something hot, you are actually make the net entropy of B smaller. Unless he has some way justfying how to make the entropy smaller, his statement will be false. We need a solid mathmatical proof, no feeling touchy stuff.

The mass and energy just disappears from one time frame and re-appears in another. But they are still both in the same universe, so energy is conserved. I don't see how this breaks the law of conservation of energy. No there are many other reasons why he is full of it, but I don't think this is one of them.

Why in the manual are all the photocopies listed have C204 on them, while one has C224?

Edit: My girlfriend pointed out to me that it looks more like a 0 than a 2. My bad, I was looking hard for discrepencies between the documents.

I just thought of something else about this. Even if it were in different universes, it wouldn't be a problem if during the disappearing act, energy (in the form of heat and/or light) were released during the process. The entropy would not be made smaller in A or B.

LHC's specs were well known before 2001, the fact that news organizations pickup the story on that date is meaningless.

I am still undecided about this....yes the are holes..but he plays the plausible deniability thing well....

Take Area 51 for example....Government denies it exists...but there is a place in Nevada where no air traffic is allowed and where you vannot enter due to armed guards....

John Titor plays this card well...he even say that he does not expect us to believe....

but :

1) His theories appear sound in both content and accuracy..but he is lacking fundamental proof that there are correct..so..for now, they appear as just 'theories' (albeit very interesting ones...along the lines of my own)

2) He stated somewhere that it this is a different 'worldline' to his own, but he would not disclose the true secrets of his time machine for fear of us having one....

3) No one ever logged or attempted to log his IP. With this they could have found out ALOT about him...

4) It is still too easy to create a hoax now-a-days.

I prefer to remain skeptical on this...if there is a civil war in the US that starts in 2005 then I may move to the hills and invest in Hydrogen fuel cells :D

Couple more things that stand out...

1. His grandfather worked on a 5100 design
2. He lives in Florida
3. He is 5 in 2003

That's enough clues to be able to narrow the search to a handful of families. If he were really from the future he would not give out those facts, since anyone with an access to old IBM personel files would be able to locate his family in a nick of time.

A microsingularity was discovered when Walleye unzipped his trousers for an unsuspecting CERN secretary. Research is still being conducted... :D

If you guys visit the anamolies.net forum there is someone by the name of Darby. He actually got an e-mail from a real physicist who teaches at a university. He kinda sorta debunked this John Titor guy. Just thought you'd like to read. It was very interesting.

So, what ever happened to this guy anyway?

Waited 9 1/2 years huh?
Who knows? We might actually find out in 23 years.

Christ, when this thread was born I was literally just starting my undergrad.

Hmm, maybe this guy was right, if you prescribe to the multiverse theory of time travel. Also there's a blue "police box" parked across the street and a strange man inside keeps staring at me.
