r.i.p. john. now i definetly will be buying the Three's Company season set dvd's that are going to start coming out next year.

(and please refrain from the 'guess he wont be doing a commentary track for them now, huh?' comments, have some respect for the deceased please...thanks!)
 
Man this is horrible. I remember him so fondly. 8 Simple Rules was one of the few ABC comedies I actually enjoyed and watched on a regular basis. That must have been horrible for everyone involved on the set to find out that he died. (As well as his family)

WebMD.com describes an aortic dissection as "an abnormal separation of tissues within the walls of the aorta" caused by high blood pressure, family history of the condition, disease of connective tissue, or severe trauma to the chest.

"Aortic dissection results in a weakened blood vessel wall that may also rupture," the Web site says.

He died at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday, six days before his 55th birthday. The cause of death was a tear in the aorta, the result of an unrecognized flaw in his heart, said his publicist, Lisa Kasteler.

I feel a part of my childhood has died with his passing. 3s company was my favorite show growin up, even if they were all re-runs. RIP John Ritter 🙁
