John Ringo / A Hymn Before Battle

Has anyone read any of this guy's books? Wow! I picked up the the first one (Hymn) because it looked interesting, and got so engrossed I had to track down the other three books in the series pronto. The only bummer is he seems kind of burnt out, and said in the afterword to book four he's taking a break from the series for a year or two.

It's a much, much more realistic version of Independence Day, IMO.
