In fairness to trump, he just says this shit to fire up the base. I recall there was an interview where he literally admitted this, when asked why he doesn't focus on policies, answering something like "whenever I talk about policies, the people get bored & quiet, when whenever I go on about the wall they get energized and that's what we're looking for". Therefore evaluating his speeches or whatever on factual accuracy is pointless given that's not really their goal.
