Haha, yeah. Who elected him to speak for "The American People" while we're at it?

To me, it seems a straight forward factual presentation of Senator McCain's brush with a very serious diease, The article points out quite clearly that, although we have not seen his current medical records yet, the prognosis is very good for McCain's health. The conclusion I took was that it appears this health problem whould not have any effect on McCain's ability to perform as President.

Calling this a hit job is being way too over sensitive.

This was my take as well.

My wife's mother died because of melanoma and my wife has also had surgery for Basil Cell cancer in the exact spot that McCain had his (left temple).

The Times asking about his medical records is not only reasonable but very responsible reporting. Since my wife's surgery for her condition, she has had to go back for follow up visits because of the high rate of reappearance. I think that it is only fair that we find out whether or not someone that is possibly the next POTUS is at risk for another bout of something that can kill you.

I also think that Hillary should be releasing her financial records and papers from her days as First Lady and not waiting until after the Dem race is done and over with (she has reportedly said that they (tax returns) will be released ~April 15). There is no reason for her to hide previous returns except to keep some sources of income private so as to not raise flags or re:WH papers, to be able to blow her claims of experience and accomplishments out of the water.
