Reporter starts asking Mayer some political questions that have nothing to do with his music..

What's he going to do, send it back? It's like I'm getting a wrongful bulge in my pants and everyone's thinking I've got a nine-inch cock. I'm not going to argue with them, I'm going to let them think I have a nine-inch cock.

These are questions my editor wanted me to ask. I'm trying to build my journalistic career here.
You're not building a journalistic career. You're making yourself look like a moron and you're not a moron. Who's your editor?

Jada.
Jada is making you sound like a moron in front of people.

Q:What do you think about guys with seventies mustaches?
I don't give a fuck about who wears their face what way. If I could grow a beard, I'd have some nutty things going on on my face.

Q:You can't grow a beard?
It's a pituitary thing. I know you're not that much of a moron.

I don't mind him dodging political questions he doesn't want to answer, and maybe the reporter was asking inappropriate questions, but he was being a douche. Somehow, I'm not surprised. He strikes me as a gigantic ego.

Yeah, you gotta have a big ego if you think you're good enough to get on a stage and get paid to play music (or act). The people who are humble in interviews - they're the people being dishonest

And this is exactly why ATOTers will love it. Being a douche is what most here excel at. They'll somehow admire John for being a huge douche when this reporter was simply doing what their editor told them to.

The goal of the editor was to get Mayer to say something quoteworthy, rather than boring bland stuff that 99% of entertainers do--and Mayer gave it to them. It's a win-win situation.

Looked like a normal interview, the only thing remotely funny was :

Which I'm sure he's doing.

YO John, I'm really happy for you, and Imma let you finish, but I, Kanye West, am the most outspoken controversial musician in the world. In the world!

If I could never again hear him utter a work that wasn't sung I'd be happy but the man has talent.

Don't think of him when you just think of his radio air time songs, check out his albums, they're damn good.

Yeah, I dig his music. I was listening to Heavier Things and Continuum in the car today. He's got a new single out (from his new album coming soon):
