John Mayer - Bigger than my body... anybody else get this?

actually it was Coldplay inspired... but then again, most people do confuse just about any JM song with DMB when they first listen to him...
 
Well I'm not confusing him with DMB, but he's using the same type of movement with his voice as DMB so often has in their songs..

Contrary to what NFS4 would have us believe, John Mayer has ALWAYS sung like Dave Matthews. He uses a lot of the same stylings. There's nothing wrong with this, but it is pretty obvious.

They sound similar in some respects...lots of people sound similar to each other. But I don't go WOW, he sounds exactly like Dave when I play his music and I have all three albums of his (pre-ordered the newest one from Circuit City which will make 4)

Just the vocals. The dude sings just like DM. Otherwise, they are quite different. I hate DMB. I love John Mayer. Go figure. 😀

I thought his last studio album was one of the best of last year. It would be a shame if this one really were a dud.
 
John Mayer is an unoriginal manwhore. A talented, unoriginal manwhore, but an unoriginal manwhore none-the-less.

I met him while he was on tour with Glen Phillips (former Toad The Wet Sprocket lead, if you like JM, check out glen, hes much better at it than JM) and was left unimpressed and annoyed with him. Mostly from his hitting on the 14 year olds in the front row.
 
Actually, after listening to it a few times, it's really awesome. Except for Come Back to Bed and Wheels, don't especially like those two. You just gotta get used to his non-acoustic style on this new album.

the live version of CBTB is 100000x better than that album version... they totally ruined it with that sax or whatever the hell it is in the background🙁

I always thought 3x5 just appealed to me b/c I do a lot of photography and I often bemoan how holding the camera changes both my perspective and others' perception of me, and I often can't decide whether I should bring my camera somewhere so I can record what I see, or leave it home so that I can see the world through both eyes.
