It is the people that are still trying to make money on the bones of the dead that keep this tripe in the news. I'm sure that this has help sell some more of his music.

He was a talented person who did not like his fans. Also there are many talented people who die every day. What the heck makes him so special? Is it because their profession was not in the public arena that they do not deserve the same attention that he or any other "celebrity" gets? Americans fixation with certain people is just silly. There are people in our own citys that deserve more attention then 90% of these so called "celebrities".

I understand that what he did and why people "loved" him. I think there are other people that have contributed more to society that deserve more fanfare then him. He was a person who could not stand the very people who made him rich and famous ( according to the interview he gave to Rolling Stone)

I could care less. Yes, getting killed is tragic but I don't think he contributed anything other than entertainment so why should we honor him but not countless others who have given much of themselves to make this world a better place? The unsung hero's if you may. Lennon was a crackhead. I don't respect people who are on crack.

I wonder if anyone is going to remember Kurt Cobain, Left Eye, that singer from that band that sang that song that had a music video of the little girl in a bumblebee costume, or any other artist that died before their time 25 years later. The only artist whom I know was widely talked about after their death has been Selena.
