“What the f– are you putting it in your pants and sitting on it for?”

This guy is awesome, but I do remember him also flatly stating last year that they didn't need the iPhone. :p

A few months before I took the job at T-Mobile, I went in and I had a list of … “I would be interested in this job IF.”

And let me help you. A blind man could see what T-Mobile needed to do. Which is: The network needed significant investments. We need spectrum at every corner. We needed to relaunch the brand. We needed to push consolidation.

And I still want him running the helm at T-Mobile.

Interview starting at the 20min mark with his comments.

On the Fire Phone. :p

Get real, this thing sold about 10 units.

On Windows phone,

I bet the porn is really good.

On his first board meeting the German DT board members.

Anybody here use T-Mobile in NYC and/or LA? Thinking about moving on from AT&T. Concerned about building penetration.

I live and work in NYC and never have an issue with it. My office is in a building in SOHO that is a solid cement warehouse type of building and I get full 4g lte bars.

That's good to know. Work takes me to LA and NYC and I don't want poor data coverage of course.

Signing a contract with AT&T for 2 GB is the same price as unlimited with T-Mobile. ($80.) I know AT&T has more LTE coverage but still.....

I've worked and lived in 4 different cities across the nation and there isn't a single place where I can get uninterrupted service from tmobile. Verizon, as shitty as they are, is at least reliable.

I like what tmo's doing but if they want me as a customer they need to have a reliable network that isn't dropping calls/losing connection when you drive a block away from from an area that has good reception.

I am so happy /w my change to T-Mobile from Sprint a year and a half ago. The ONLY thing I wish, and I believe they are working on, is actual data once I leave metro areas. 2G doesn't cut it in any way.

Thankfully, I rarely leave metro areas so it isn't really a big issue, more of an occasional inconvenience.

T-mobile test drive (free, iPhone 5S for 7 days)

in NYC, outdoors is fine. I get better speeds / connectivity than other people on Verizon (eg text messages/mms gets sent faster, higher speed tests etc)

Building penetration is a problem though, but I learn to deal with it (eg as long as I have line-of-sight to a window, typically fine. For conference rooms in the interior of the building, I might drop signal or have very weak signal... so I tend not to schedule those rooms)

His comment attributed to Windows phone was actually to the Fire Phone visual recognition feature.

I'm sticking with the Consumer Reports testing which said the iPhone 5 was better at not bending than the 6 and its competitors. I'm a back pocket person and not a waif so I would prefer non-intended curving to stay out of my fat ass life.

He's an awesome "cut the goddamn bullshit and keep this fucking shit real" kind of CEO, but does he really need to curse so much?
