I remember him saying his favorite Sox player was Manny Ortiz.

It's not like World Series baseball or football is common in this country. That's the equivalent of Tony Blair saying his favorite sports player is David Becker

I just thought it was queer how someone who professes to be a lifelong fan couldn't even get the player's name right.
