Then I realized it was John Fogerty. He sucks now, was great back when.

For some reason I always get Fogerty/CCR confused with Van Zant/Skynyrd.

And I call myself a Southerner.

Fogerty Rocks! He IS CCR, wrote all the songs. IF you read CCR's history, you'd find that he was scammed out of ownership of all his songs by his producer back in the 60s. For over 20 years, he wasn't even allowed to play his own songs!!!! Finally, a court case settled the matter. Incredible.

Yeah, I was watching a CCR concert on InHD, and I didn't realize until then how many hit songs they've had over the years. Really top notch stuff.

I saw the concert you're talking about. Fogerty is incredible (and so is HD). :)

Yeah that was a fairly recent concert too so he's still got it!

Red Dawn and I are in agreement? Well, I never would have guessed it, but Fogerty truly is an amazing musician.

CCR was great, and parts of his first comeback album were very good ( :music: change in the weather :music: )

Yup, and afterwards he flew to the Denver Broncos/Kansas City Chiefs game and performed the halftime show later that evening. He's still got some good pipes and I hope he keeps rockin' for many years to come. :)

He was a hell of a lot better at the Thanksgiving NFL halftimes than Jagger & the Stones were at the Super bowl last year. He still sounded pretty good and actually looked like he was working from emotion and not reflexes.
