Saw that John Carter is coming out on 3/9. Anyone think it will live up to the books?

oops, put 2/9 but it's 3/9

I still need to see the Solomon Kane movie. Was it any good?
Why is that not out in DVD/Blu-Ray in the US yet? I see its out in the UK.
