News John Boehner sticks the boot into the Crazy Caucus

Meh. That fucker has plenty of blood on his own hands, despite him wanting to separate or distance from the crazy crowd now. A bit late, Boehner.

I was going to say he was positioning himself as a hero when he was part of the problem at times. It is true, though, that he was one of the last vestiges of the GOP from before it went completely off the rails.

At least he was still willing, at least on some issues, to sit down at the negotiating table and actually try to reach terms. That becomes more rare with each passing year, now.

His description of Ted Cruz is probably more generous than Ted deserves.
"Under the new rules of Crazytown, I may have been Speaker, but I didn’t hold all the power. By 2013 the chaos caucus in the House had built up their own power base thanks to fawning right-wing media and outrage-driven fundraising cash. And now they had a new head lunatic leading the way, who wasn’t even a House member. There is nothing more dangerous than a reckless asshole who thinks he is smarter than everyone else. Ladies and gentlemen, meet Senator Ted Cruz. He enlisted the crazy caucus of the GOP in what was a truly dumbass idea. Not that anybody asked me."

past behavior is a good indicator of future behavior. people don't really change all that much.

Put the crackpipe down and at least try to come across half-sensible, sparky.

Geez, at least we get a peek at what was going on. You know history, self serving as it may be. All history is self serving, the winners are still around to write it.

I read the excerpt article, and I agree it could be an interesting read just for some of the behind-the-scenes dirt that was constantly flying, especially during Obama's terms when Boehner was still in his seat of power.

But if I read it, I'll also take it with a grain of salt. And to act like Boehner isn't still a piece of garbage is foolish in my opinion. That's like thinking that Mitch McConnell would lose his seat and suddenly become some kind of "good person". It's laughable to defend him.

Oh, I realize they have no moral leg to stand on. But, inside GOP gossip is as fun as gossip gets. One of my old bosses, the first thing after he got settled in, would be to call about 2 or 3 different female admin aides at the home office and get the latest stuff that was going on in the company.

says the pot to the kettle...muhahhahaaaaaa
No, really. You sound retarded.

You are accusing the wrong person of the wrong infraction, it makes no logical sense. And you are doing it to defend a known dirtbag rethuglican.

Did you even understand the comment that you replied to originally? I doubt it.

There's something wrong with your synapses, bro.

If it were up to Boner, the US Capitol would be in Tel Aviv, so I don't much care what he thinks at this point. He did everything but spit shine Benny's shoes. And who knows, he may have done that too.
