Lol my city taxes alone are about that. Let alone mortgage payment and all the other bills.

Why do you always post dense stuff like this?

If you only make 540/month you can't have 540/month in taxes.

Its like you saying you'd pay more in taxes to mine bitcoin then you'd make. Taxes go off income income is gross profit minus expenses. Its like the fucking idiots that say they lose money getting a raise because the government takes so much more in taxes. Its impossible its not the way taxes work.

I don't know about him, but here, City taxes are based on property value, not income. Luckily I live 6 miles outside the city.

Those are property taxes here, we pay city income taxes where I'm at. Even if thats the case you wouldn't be able to afford a property with that high of taxes on that low of income...

Yeah, we have property taxes too. And if you live in the city, you pay an extra tax assessment as well. I agree. with $540 a month you couldn't afford to live in the city at all, or anywhere else in the area. Unless maybe you lived rent free...

And property taxes are smart. YOU get to determine how much you want to pay. Want to live a rich extravagant life by the shore in a mansion away from people? Fine, but it will cost you more.

Unlike income - which no one is going to refuse more income - your property value IS something you can control. Same thing with sales/use taxes, YOU can control it.

Also 0 fucks given for this guy. Pay your debt deadbeat.

The tax man does not care how much you make, he wants his money. Our city is spiraling in debt because they keep spending money on retarded things and the tax payers have to pickup the tab as they keep raising them every year. It's a dollar amount, not a percentage. Same with water, it's a flat rate based on number of rooms in your house, which is retarded. Should at least go by number of people or something. What they consider a room is also odd. My house is considered as having 5 rooms for billing purposes even though it has 3.

I live in a rather normal neighborhood, not water front. If you want waterfront you're paying WAY more.

Is it property tax like someone else said based on the value of the house? If you get an income tax that is a flat fee and not percentage based on income you need to get out of that shit hole. That has to be very rare because I have never heard of such a thing even in funny money canada. Property tax is normally a percentage of the value of your house if its property based it shouldn't be a flat fee either, which doesn't sound like it is if the waterfront people pay more. They pay more because their property has a higher value. In that case if you want cheaper taxes you buy a cheaper house or move some where with lower property taxes.

This dude still has that much income?

He should have been living off of interest since "the good days" and banked everything else for retirement/old age.
