Now if only the NHL would take note of this and hand out some suspensions to their officiating staff.

I'm glad. That second T for supposedly complaining behind the officials back is the lamest thing I've heard in regards to the NBA. Assuming he was complaining at the bench, away from the officials, SO WHAT? That isn't grounds for a T, much less ejection from the game.

Guess I should have done more than glanced at the article. I'm happy knowing there's one less ref whose ego will determine the outcome of games.

Technically, that T was the second T and that means automatic ejection.

Good.. hot head refs with a vendetta against prolific big men shouldn't be put in the position of making calls for or against them anyway. What he did with Duncan was uncalled for and improper under the circumstances; heck under ANY circumstances, Duncan is absolutely allowed to laugh and goof off on the court, let alone on the bench, so long as it isn't malicious or confrontational. Why let your emotions get in the way of your job like that? Time to pay the price.

great great let the inmates run the asylum. watch out, anyone who gives duncan a T is going to get suspended! you might as well give the guy a license to do whatever he pleases on the court. stupid NBA.

ok i don't really mean any of that.

Yes, and I'm sure the ref knew that, thus he called the second T for no reason so he could boot Duncan from the game.

Maybe he was trying to make sure the Mavs won or at least covered the spread?

Oops, I read the article as "to the NBA finals", not "through the NBA finals".
