No, people love to hate tax deadbeats, lying frauds, and douchebags. They like the little guy who those labels don't fit. You tend to like those people, if they're on your political side.

So you hate Obama's finance manager and Rangel? I don't hate them.

"douchebag" How do you figure he's a "douchebag"

You're the one who tossed the word 'hate' around casually. I used it in the same sense you did for the critics of Joe (apparently his name is actually Sam) the Plumber.

Yes, people will criticize the two you mentioned, too, to the extent they're 'tax deadbeats'. Want me to find you stories published attacking them for their tax issues?

Lying fraud: He tried to set Obama up with a phony story of how Obama's policies would hurt him. The scenario he laid out was false.

Obama did a good job explaining why even the set up scenario would benefit from his policies, but Joe the Plumber's actual situation is better with Obama, too.

Douchebag in how he takes no responsibility to get informed, he's just a typical righty loudmouth attacking Barack out of ignorance, spouting things that are against his interest.

He didn't bother to respond honestly to what Obama said to him. He just keeps mouthing the same nonsense about hating taxes and socialism.

Just as 'Harry and Louise' were the face of an insurance company campaign to kill healthcare that would have helped millions, he's the face of the special interests who want McCain's policy that gives the most wealthy $300B more than Obama's policy, he's the 'doucehbag' face of the enemy of good tax policy.

Now let's stop with the word douchebag, I've never used it, and it's only in use here since you put it out (possibly quoting someone else).

This guy has no business playing a role in the election IMO. He's grabbing the limelight and pushing bad policy. That makes the criticism of his policy and bad behavior quite fair.

lol, you think BHO was "setup" by little ol Joe the Plumber?
And no, Joe probably won't benefit from BHO's policies nor will be benefit from McCain's. He'll benefit from his own decisions and effort.

Ah, so since you leftists don't like someone calling it as they see it - it's not responding "honestly"

Yes, someone else used it. It was in the list of hateful and spiteful things you leftists like to throw at people like Joe the Plumber since they dared ask BHO a question.

BTW, if BHO did such a "good job", why has this become an issue? .... because BHO let a moment of realism(realism in the sense of BHO saying what he really is about) escape his lips?

It's the idea of Joe the Plumber, not the specifics of the poor mans personal life. You guys can't argue the policies so you attack the man for having flaws.

CAD, you're deluded. Given the proposed tax plans 'Joe' would clearly benefit from Obama's regardless of his decisions and effort aside from winning a lottery. The rest of your 'response' is blah, blah, leftist, dare question the strawman messiah, whatever. You're a broken record.

Obama answered 'Joe's' question. Maybe you didn't see it because Fox only showed a portion of his response?

Yes. It was a five minute video where Obama took the time to answer the guy's question. At the end Obama said he understood he might not get the guy's vote but thanked him for the question. The video left me with a good feeling that sides with different opinions were able to talk rationally about the issues without name calling. They might not agree at the end but agreeing on everything is impossible.

And let's be honest: if Joe the plumber didn't want to be in the spotlight any more, he shouldn't have done all those interviews. Somehow McCain enjoys playing it off as "poor joe" getting picked on, but he's the one that mentioned him in the debate 15 times. And Joe did more interviews. And now he's going to stump speeches. So don't bemoan Joe's poor personal life. You step into the spotlight and the media investigates you, no matter who you are.

Now McCain's trying to spin it as a "gotcha!" moment that Obama talked about the rich paying more even though he's had speeches where he's admitted the rich should pay more and Palin introduced a windfall oil tax that "spread the wealth" to fellow Alaskans.

This whole Joe thing is a silly attempt to seem more folksy and down to earth even though his tax policies will help corporations more than the middle class.

I'm sure there will be more here since the guy dared question the messiah.

As far as joining McCain's campaign - meh - it's not going to help IMO.

Kinda like Sheehan, except she paid her Taxes.

He was and alway was simply a plant.
And now they are paying him to pretend he really wants his healthcare taxed by mccain.
At this point the GOP still just doesnt get it. Everything they do just hurts them more.
Even when you see an mccain tv ad, just having mccain's puss at the end saying he approves this message is a total turnoff to the voters.

Just a few more days of this crap to go. Hang in there.

Twas the night before Halloween and all the the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

The rugrats costumes were were boxed up and all ready, while visions of free candy danced in their heads.

Suddenly from the kitchen arose such a clatter, us adults rushed down to find whats a matter.

What to our wondering eyes did appear, twas Joe the plumber dismantling our kitchen sink.

We need it, we need it, Joe did soon cry, if we can't throw it at the Obama, nothing else matters.

We will buy you a new sink under the McCain plan, some assembly required, is part of the sham.

oh oh oh good one. I saw the entire interview. The key points of Obama's answer is what gave away his true ideas and rationals for his tax plan, which is the issue right leaning individuals have with him. He might have been nice, I believe Obama is a very nice man. He's probably a great man and I've already accepted the fact he may be my next president, and if he is I will respect him fully, even if I disagree with everything he stands for with all my heart and mind.
