Anybody listening in, very interesting conversation about the limits, expectations, and problems surrounding these massive social media companies and their trying to manage themselves within the context of free speech. I will give Dorsey credit for sure for at least talking about it and admitting it’s way less than ideal and work to be done.

So jump in and listen. They are talking about philosophical why do you do this here but not there, is this the best approach, what are the pitfalls. I get what you’re saying and I’m not advocating they have to do anything. It’s an interesting conversation.

This is my first but probably won’t be my last, I’ve enjoyed it thus far. Rogan has said very little honestly and has been very fair to the other three.

I haven’t heard anything chud-y. Everything thus far has been great discourse on the topic of open and free speech and how best to advocate for that (or not) and weigh everything. From a societal perspective, from business perspective, from an ethical perspective, and from a philisophical one overall.

Facebook or Twitter is not the internet. They're not ISP's, you dont have to use them. The internet itself has become as much of a utility as phone or cable. This is how it is. /Repeat conversation again for the millionth time, blah blah blah.

Start your own. Free speech and free market remain intact.

The real conversation is protections for free speech without net neutrality, or reinstating net neutrality.

You’re right and wrong. They’re not but they do have a vast amount of power over the direction of discourse in this country. To deny that the collective of FB, Twitter, FB, and Google have an outside influence on all of us is purposefully naive.

People are idiots, news at 10. You didn't list any service I'm required to use to access the internet. Try again.

You're speaking your opinion. I'm speaking what is.

Nah what I listened to was a round table discussion from 4 people about free speech in the digital age. It wasn’t a one sided arguement, black and white, or fluff as you describe it.

and does free speech in the digital age mean forcing companies to let you say horrible things?

Well, it is fluff. The free flow of packets across internet backbones and attached networks means your digital speech is in tact. Where those packets go is up to you. When ISP's are allowed to stop or change your packets because they disagree with your free speech, then we have a problem. Guess what republicans have been voting for?

Yeah, well...as a conservative voter, he's fearful of others not being forced to hear him. You know, small government, less regulations, wait whuh?

No one in that discussion thought regulations were a good thing. The guy (Pool) arguing that the selective censorship coming from the tech giants as being a bad thing for society also argued heavily that regulations weren’t the answer and would only make things worse.

then he can go to his own alt-right social media platform and talk to others there.
