I know Im going to watch it... Some of it unless it really gets lame or boring.

I would still watch it if the genders were reversed.

Personally, I applaud Fox for the idea. 'Who wants to marry a millionaire' led to a faked emotions, a disturbing marriage, a divorce, and money/publicity/background issues. This show takes care of all that - its filters out the money grubbers, seeks out true love, doesn't award millions to the winner, and doesn't make Joe out to be some pimp. It doesn't glorify the ugly side of people. It glorifies the thought that true love might be possible in the most unlikely of situations. It simply begins with.... an extra incentive to attract in the type of women who normally wouldn't cross paths with a nice construction worker guy.

'who wants to marry a millionaire' ended with a bunch of disgusted viewers

If the winning woman decides to stay to Joe, the series will undoubtedly have a happier ending

I agree with that.

It's very doubtful the guy will be broke after the show finishes. After the publicity, he will have very many opportunities either modeling for magazines or small film parts. The women will look stoopid so it's win-win for teh man!

i dont know what to make of those women getting choked up at not getting a necklace... does it hurt to be rejected like that? (imagine how guys typically can feel, in more real situations). but also, was any girl that didn't get a necklace 'relieved'? i mean they didn't show every face but it didn't appear so either. did this mean everybody seemed to like this 'i need a hair trim' guy just by meeting him briefly? sigh, I thought women say guys are superficial...

Theres been some talk that our average (poor) Joe actually has a bit of money, and Fox is trying to pull a fast one. In my opinion, I find it kind of hard to believe that the guy only makes $19,000 a year. How the hell does he survive?

Interesting.. it's just as wrong as someone going to a club or bar, lie to some hot chick about how much he makes and what he does for a living. The difference is, this guy got the whole Fox network to backup his false claim.

I kind of like the analogy to reversing the genders, only at the end the "hot" woman turns out to be wearing a wig, fake eyelashes, nails, a prosthetic limb, professinally applied makeup, etc. etc. etc.....

and has no vagina.

:D
