I thought that was after his appearance on the show he got all the tv and marketing promotions? Nevermind, it isn't. But he still didn't make a whole lot? Makes me wonder what he was doing in Gold's Gym if he made only $19,000 a year though...

I thought Evan was the dumbest guy in the world cause of the short things he says on the show. Then I saw an interview with him on Jay Leno and he's alright. I don't find him attractive at all believe you--me. He can talk with a more variety of sentences than he does on the show. He's somewhat humorous. He's humble and he seems genuine through his talk about his past work experiences--how he was a dishwasher like Leno at one time. He joked the best part about the job was he got lots of left overs. One realizes he was somewhat serious when he said to the audience, you're laughing at it, but when you're not making a lot of money, that half-eaten steak looks mighty good out of the microwave. He also joked about how he also used to be a bouncer at the same place he washed dishes since he was the largest guy, so he'd come out with rubber gloves whenever they needed him and be like, "alright, who do i need to take out tonight?" Finally, he talked about his experience as a bellhop and how he really appreciated those rich folks who didn't flaunt their money and truly appreciated the humble services of a bellhop.

That's all B.S. the guy worked as an underwear model and made good money. It's all on thesmokinggun.com. Let me see if I can find the link.

Uh yeah, $1,000 for like a one hour photo shoot? Sounds like great money to me.

You'll note that they don't mention any more money. He wasn't making good money; he merely made decent money once. Otherwise I'd imagine the TSG would've said so.

Well, he has $500,000 now.

I heard him on Howard Stern and he seemed like a decent guy. The whole crew on the show seemed to think so too.

I can't believe the way some people are insulting this guy. He seems a decent fellow. So what if he didn't go to college or seemingly doesn't engage in many intellectual pursuits?

He seems like a decent guy. He seems honest and truthful. He *could* have modeled and made his money that way but he hated the work, but instead went to a lower paying job because he loved doing it.

Now he's got a cool 500k in the bank + plus whatever he makes from interviews and whatnot.

More power to the guy.

He may be as dumb as a box of rocks, but he's smart enough to take this gig and come out 500k richer + income from his infamy/celebrity. :p

I've seen none of the shows, yet I'm curious about one dumb thing:

What happened when he told the chick that he didn't inherit the castle?

They all knew it wasn't his castle from the beginning. They were told on the first show that it is just something that Fox set up as a nice background to a show. But the lie was that he had $50 million dollars from an inheritance. When he told the girl she stared at him blankly, and he said come back in the evening with your answer. They showed her walking around, thinking, then she came back and said yes she would like to continue dating. Then Fox handed them $500,000 each (with the stipulation that they don't tell anyone the ending before it airs).
