Actually we are since those are the people who helped shaped the views Obama has now. It is not like Obama had the guts to ever go against them. Obama will be a very weak president who will let the democratic congress run rough shot all over him. Pelosi/Reid are licking their chops right now. They will be able to get anything they want signed into law. I am sure the fairness doctrine will be first up to kill the voice of those who stand against them.

Why is this now a thread on Joe the Plumber when he was mentioned as a throw-away line in that op-ed? Oh yeah, cuz PJ wanted to derail the thread and avoid talking about everything the author actually was writing about. Worked I guess.
Repeat, the op-ed is about Cohen's seeing McCain's hypocrisy on socialism and lowball campaign tactics. He hired the mofo's who f'd him in 2000. He has given up any claim to straight talk or respectable campaigning. He is literally in say-anything do-anything to win mode. But this is not a smart move when your chances are at 5% and you are shitting on your entire life legacy. But hey, his choice I guess. He will no longer be remembered fondly.

Yep, McCain supported $700 billion bailout, but would never spread the wealth. It'd be comical if it weren't so sad.
Plato said that "Those who seek power are not worthy of that power." Meaning that the quest for power can cause one to abandon all the ethical and moral principles required for the faithful execution of that power. McCain has long ago crossed that line.

And got a well reasoned response from Barack Obama, given the Obama response was basically off the top of his head. I am sure that a better reasoned response could be given with advance notice, but it still got to the heart of tax policy.
But still what Joe is asserting is that if he works hard, he ought to be rich, and better yet, should not have to pay his fair share of taxes. And the Obama response was that unless the tax burden is fairly borne, all wealth will go only to the rich, and Joe will have no customers able to afford his services.
As for Joe, its not Obama's fault that the media exposed Joe for what he was. His walk did not match his talk.

We all forgot how convienently McCain flip flopped on this issue. And for the past 2-3 weeks he has been hammering the "socialist" card day after day.

Joe was touted by McCain without being vetted. It was a debate and in that debate McCain used Joe's name over and over again WITHOUT ever talking to the man or having someone look into his background. While being very mavericky it wasn't very smart. Sort of going off half cocked. Allot like his choice of Palin. When you use someone as a source of information you need to know who they are. All the crap that hit Joe's fan after the debate was McCain's doing not Obama's When you step into the limelight (Like asking a difficult question to a candidate in front of cameras) you should have your ducks in a row. (you know like having a plumber's license and a business that merits tax inquiries)
Don't get your LDS get the best of you. I know plenty of "rightists" who dont like her. Go figure?!

This whole "spreading the Wealth" angle of Attack is just perplexing. The idea behind any Economic system is exactly how to accomplish "spreading the Wealth". It seems the Reagan Flow Up/Trickle Down has not only fooled some, but made them also completely forget about the "American Dream" and other such Ideals that reward those with Good Ideas and/or Work Ethic. Has McCain adopted a platform centered around Feudalism?

You mean "leftists" like George Will, Kathleen Parker, David Frum, David Brooks, Lincoln Chafee, Charles Krauthammer and Colin Powell?
It says she's been treated about fairly across the political spectrum by anyone with a brain and rightly recognized as the Lipstick Dipstick. That includes many polls showing McCain's choice of Palin as the number one reason people question his judgment.
Although Palin, herself, doesn't have a clue about the actual duties of the Vice Presiden, the number one responsiblity of the job is to be ready and competent to step in as President should the President become unable to continue.
Palin is not just unqualified to be President, she's stupid enough to be dangerous if she ever got there. :thumbdown;
