I have not followed this case at all but can anyone explain why it's gotten so much attention? Is it because of how violent the death was?

She shot her ex boyfriend in the face, then stabbed him 27 times, and then cut his throat almost literally from ear to ear. Afterwards she went out and partied with his friends.

...then when she got on the stand, she kept changing her story - except for the parts where she did the above, of course: The actuals were conveniently 'not remembered'. She also pled "Self Defense", while entertaining us endlessly with stories which changed... and changed... and changed...

her claim of having PTSD was due to her killing travis (according to her witness) lol.

her witness's were terrible. they just got ripped to shreds on teh stand by the DA. they were caught in lies, fabricating education and such and made to look like a idiot.

She is very good at manipulation. Trouble is you can't do that from a witness stand.

personally i think what did her in was her taking the witness stand. She would say how she would get scared of him and "shrink" within herself. That she would be a servent to him when he got mad. Then when the DA was questioning her she would fight with him over answered and give him attitude. It did not fit with what she claimed.
