Three things could happen.

1) Flash is released on Android phones, everyone realizes it sucks, is slow, drains battery life, and doesn't offer anything worthwhile beyond what the app store already offers.

2) Flash is released on Android phones, is implemented well, but just serves to "complete" the web experience and never really offers anything more than it currently does

3) Flash is released on Android phones, is praised as the second coming of Jesus, never slows down, doesn't affect battery life, and suddenly everyone realizes they were all wrong about the app store model.

Which one do you think is more likely?

I vote #2

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not twitching in anticipation of playing flash games on any mobile device. I have plenty of free (And not free) games on my iPhone and iPad that are of a quality I have never seen in flash games short of Quake Live.

Adobe's CEO responds: Link

So millions of applications are developed for OS X but his company can't? BWahahahahahaaaaaa

Also he says which I don't understand, Apple's press release gives reasons for this but he doesn't really have anything to support his statement.
As far as rebuttals go, I actually find that one a bit disappointing. Of course Apple did have the chance to write a letter well in advance as opposed to Adobe who had a few hours to offer an in-person explanation, but ultimately I don't think Adobe had a good response for any of Steve's points.

Worse yet, he tried to blame Flash's crashing on OS X which is absolutely silly - the OS isn't crashing, it's whatever application that's interacting with Flash that's crashing. That response alone tells me that this guy doesn't know what he's talking about (and the reality TV comparison doesn't help, either).

You know, I 've never had any problems using flash on my mac. Not one. Wonder what junk other ppl put on their systems to mess them up?
If you've never had Flash crash, you've been fortunate. Flash 10 made a lot of progress, but it still blows up at inopportune times. Under Windows it isn't nearly as bad.

just play flash on a multitouch laptop or pc - you will understand what sucks butt. it's so obvious. silverlight on the other hand..

You, sir, are correct. I have spent lots of time on Armor Games (Woo bubble tanks). But when you compare the quantity of quality flash content to the quantity of quality apps for the iPhone, there's no comparison. Whether or not that would change if iPhone supported flash, we'll never know.

iFart?
