There was a bum here who sued McDonalds for giving how free food that made him sick. The sad part was that he won.

You're missing the point. Whether or not you shed tears is irrelevant, considering you're going to be paying for his incarceration.

The question you need to consider is whether or not you think the laws should be changed to make this impossible or better education and consideration should be given to people in his predicament.
