you don't "have" to give 2 weeks notice unless it's in a contract or something.

but giving 2 weeks notice is a good way to not burn bridges.

2hr each way for me... I am probably going to move closer to work if it look like a keeper

What kinda stinks for me is that I'm far enough away for it to be irritating, but not quite far enough to force me to sell my house and move..

I live (own) in Sugar Hill and work in Norcross so I know your pain.

It takes me about 45 mins each direction but this is all back roads and tends to move fairly well.

I won't be selling my home anytime soon (no sooner than 5 years) and like my job and it pays well enough so I'll be sticking it out.

In 5 years time, I hope to be making more where I'm at so we can sell and take the profit of the sale to apply towards something thats more what we want and closer to where we work.

In the mean time, it's a better choice for the wife and I to drive a bit more and get a nicer home.
