Job seekers come in here and share...

This economy sucks... I've been looking for a new job for few months now. And of course I would get few calls every week or so.... now in this economy? Absolutely nothing. Not a ring.

I've totally sick of my job now. I've learned all there it is to learn in my position. It's absolutely mundane.

I'm applying to about 3-10 jobs a day..... man, can someone call me please? I'm using Monster, Indeed, CB, Dice and Craigslist.

Anyone else feel really bummed out?

You gotta keep your head up, we've all been there at some point. Can't allow the rejection to sap your confidence, eventually you will get to where you want.

What industry you in and what are you doing to look for jobs? Any sites that I haven't mentioned? (well ignoring LinkedIn and simplyhired.com)

Whats your industry?

Meh, I find it hard to blame the economy when there's tons of new college grads able to find jobs. I already have a job for when I'm done and I still need to finish another semester. If people with zero experience can find jobs then you must be doing something else. Maybe get some interview training? A solid interview will do wonders, and if you haven't done one in a while you'll be rusty and nervous.

My current job is project management in telecom. But there aren't many. I'm pretty much using 'project manager' search string and applying to everything I like in sight.

why should I care about your problems with a "boring job" while I've been looking for A job for the past 4 months.

How obtuse is it to complain about the down economy because you are "bored with your job?"

suck it up and be happy you even have a paycheck, jackass.

I just graduate in May with an Acct degree. My lack of internships is really hurting me. I've been getting a lot emails for sales positions but I want to get an accounting job (clerk, staff accountant, etc etc). Maybe it'll get better after I pass the CPA exam...

I'm supposed to finish next fall but at this rate I think I'll stay for another quarter.

Pick up Guerrilla Marketing for Job Hunters by Jay Levinson. Sitting around hoping someone will call you is an ineffective way to market yourself to potential employers.

I moved 2500 miles away in early October without a job. Within 10 days, I landed an interview at a company that does social networking work for corporations. Within 20 days, I was on my third callback interview with a tech company that manages websites. 5 days after that, I had three job offers to choose from.

The crappy economy can go screw itself.
