See now that's real cool. I wish I can get up one day and say "The hell with this boring ass computer tech job.. I'm gonna fix cars for a living.." Why did I have to get in debt.. 🙁
As an ex-ASE Master Mechanic (for 10years), I wouldn't wish that career on anyone, as it was absolute misery for me.

Currently I print transistor patterns on silicon wafers, and I couldn't be happier!!! 😀

Hey I have a new design for a CPU that uses minimal silicon... would you able to make me a test batch of chips?...

Student
Victor Unit, UM Dept. of Public Safety - I work on the road assisting motorists
$8.50/hr., Ann Arbor, MI.

I hope to one day be a police officer.

Web Developer intern, I would make $29k per year if I were to work the whole year full time, but I'm only full time for 6 months, then part time off and on for 6 months.

Sure! Presuming you are willing to pay for the materials (silicon, chemicals, etc...) and time on the tools. 😉

How much? Each die size would be less than a grain of sand. How much for about 100 of those.

Bicycle Mech.

Yes that's right, BICYCLE MECH.

I once wanted to do that for Toys R Us. I quickly realized the people I'd work with are utter idiots (You know, the typical idiots you'd find at your local PathMark in New York) and turned it down.

DISCLAIMER: My statement DOES NOT generalize everyone who works at a PathMark as an idiot.

Well I DO work at a bicycle shop.

I have worked as a auto Mech. Jet engine Mech. and countless other jobs.

One day I woke up and decided, "LIfe is short, I'm gonna do what I WANT to do." (my first love was Bikes)

Been doing it off and on for about 10 years now.

BTW: If you REALLY want to do that, here is a GREAT place to start.

I took the advanced course.
I did the mechanic thing for a while for extra money in college. Got REALLY tired of people bitching about a $40 repair cost for their $80 department store POS bikes. I did get good a building wheels tho....handy skill since you can whip up a set lighter than Mavic Heliums for half the price if you know what you're doing. 😀

Brut- ever think about being a wrench for a pro team? That'd be a cool way to see the country (or Europe for that matter).

I've toyed with the idea.
Only real problem is my dog, he goes EVERYWHERE with me....

I:

-teach kids TKD, which I pay to do, by the way,

-(will) teach kids Wing Tsun Kung Fu, pay dependent on enrollment size,

-and mooch off my folks (I'm a college student).

😀
