JOB RANTS! I wanna hear about your....

I have nothing to complain about, I am not a complainer anyway. I am just gratefull that I am workingand getting a paycheck.
Tech support has it's fair share disadvantages and utter morons (of which group I belong on my fair share of days), but I actually enjoy it.

My job is.....eh.....OK, I can't put up with it to have a job. My boss on the other hand, is an ass.
I'm about to graduate from college (in less than two months) and I still haven't found a job yet....
Just when mgt tell me that billing isn't high enough, like I have control over other companies equipment.

My jobs sucks, I need a new job.
Stargate Sucks. The problem is the management and teh stupid people there who dont know what they are talking about. They dont listen to the admins and I am like the only one who puts his foot down and some people dont like that. See what happens when I am not around - I took this past semester off and went in only once in a while just to check on things. Recently they conned the CEO on getting 10 of these $1700 LCD screeens for the compositing group saying something in the line of "it will look good on the desks" and other stuff.. well they get it.. and now its my turn to laugh.. cause LCD's arent color correct. You need color correction when your compositing in 2D which requires you to view colors and stuff. Well these are high end LCD's but no matter what they will still have some color missing. The only LCD's that I have seen that are decently color correct are the "Apple Studio Display's" but that's because apple has control over the display quality.
Anyway I need a new job.. a job where people will utilize me for my brains and not fight against them.

I'm feeling kinda cranky today, so here goes.
1. Lazy-ass, do-nothing federal employees. There are some truly brilliant people here at the CDC doing some important work, but there are also a ton of worthless morons as well. The kicker is that, thanks to permanent employees being essentially tenured, they are basically no reprecussions for their inactivity. Really irrtates me.
2. They are in the process of adding on to the parking deck so there are only a few hundred parking spots available. Rather than do something sensible like work a deal with Emory University to use some of the spots in their humongous parking deck right across the street (never even 1/4 full...even when school is in session) they have shuttle buses that are at three locations a few miles from the CDC campus. You drive there, park, get on the bus and wait around until it leaves (every 15 min). Not only does this add extra time onto everyone's commute, but you can forget about ever going out to lunch or running errands at lunch since just retrieving your car woul eat up half of your lunch hour.:|
3. The building I work in should be razed to the ground. It is literally falling apart. Hot water goes out every other week, the air handling system is screwed up so that when a truck is idling at the loading dock all the exhaust fumes somehow get pumped into the offices on our floor. F*cking charming. Remember when the anthrax thing hit and there was a one-day interruption in the research at CDC because of a problem with the building? That's the one I work in....lucky me.

I was scheduled 3 times to have a yearly review(pay increase) with the bosses,they couldn't make it to the meetings nor did they mentioned to me they couldn't make it. :| Payday is this Friday(supposed to have the pay increased in this pay check but b/c of these irresponsable people my chances of getting that rise is slim to nothing ). I guess they don't give much thoughts as to how important it is to the employee :|. god dammit, the day i give them my letter, they'll regert their irresponsible behaviors :|.
