Would you take a job working more hours per week so you get paid more? You will make the same amount per hour only you will be on the job an extra 20-25 hours per week. You would make 30-35% more per year. You will also be on call 24x7x365.

How valuable is your free time to you? Is this a position which could lead to something higher, or is this basically just to make as much money as possible? How old are you?

It would be a title change to manager. It would be working for a large IT company so job opportunities are there but not in this city. The company won't hesitate to let you go to save a few bucks.

If I was 10 yrs younger I'd do it for the money but at this stage in my life, I'm not sure since I rather like my free time. Did that job for a few years only without the manager title and pay. I'll be 35 this year.

No, I did that for years. In the end you have more money but no time to spend it.
I took my current job to stop that very thing. Now I work a strict 40 hour work week and make a lot less money, but I’m considerably happier.

For most of my working career, I worked at least 50 hours per week. We didn't even call it overtime until you hit that, even though you got paid OT after 8/day or 40/wk. (normal 5x10 hr days)
For me, it would depend on the job. If I liked what I did...and the people I worked with, then yes, I'd work the extra hours and take the extra $$. If not...fuck you, I'm outta here.

Bill Gates doesn't have enough money to pay me for my time. I'll work enough to pay bills with a little left over. My time's valuable to me.

I took a 30% paycut when I moved from DC to FL, but I work much fewer hours and actually get to see my family at night and on the weekends. Worth the tradeoff to me.

Lol no. Same hourly pay and I just happen to get more hours BUT now I have to be on call 24x7x365? Nope. I'll pass.
