Job Summary

Bank of Bermuda?s Global NT Technical Services seeks a highly motivated, seasoned Senior Analyst Programmer to join their technology driven, service oriented team. With counterparts in Hong Kong and Stirling, this mature and dedicated group offers interesting opportunities to participate in a variety of technical collaborations. Our global Intel server environment will require and foster experience with design, testing, documenting, and implementing enhancements/repairs to infrastructure services and technical projects. We provide an ideal setting for a professional who values both working with little guidance and sharing knowledge by mentoring or cross-training other team members.The applicant should be capable of taking full ownership of a technology implementation phase and its documentation. The successful candidate should enjoy teamwork and possess flexibility to accept support duties for production systems, incident response, and participate in 7/24 on-call support rotations.

Job Accountabilities

? Plan, test, and implement global infrastructure enhancements, or work as a senior member of the technical team in conformance to systems standards.
? Assist in testing, implementation, and review of new releases of server hardware and software.
? Review existing procedures and report problems/suggest enhancements to project leaders and team manager.
? Perform user training including documentation of procedures and user guides.
? Responsible for documentation of all tasks and production of procedures related to those tasks.
? Participate in identification and documentation of security breaches, incident response measures, and ensure compliance with IT security policies.

Job Specifications

? Minimum Education: Baccalaureate Degree (B.A., B.S.) or equivalent
? Minimum Experience: 3-5 years relevant
? CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL, and/or Citrix certification preferred

Skills & Abilities

? Strong commitment to customer service
? Sound analytical skills
? Well developed verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to write technical documentation.
? Solid experience supporting Microsoft web, networking, and database technologies
? Advanced knowledge of Compaq/HP server hardware including DLTs, blades, SANS, rack-mounting, and cable management
? Advanced knowledge of at least four Intel Server products including MS Exchange, Active Directory, MS Proxy, IIS, ISA, Site Server, Citrix Metaframe, antivirus software, ArcServe, Robomon, and Compaq Insight Manager

WTH does that have to do with programming? That's the wrong title for the job but...hey...I'd take it! :)

I've seen lots of admin jobs that had programmer in the job title. I'm sure there's a few admins out there that CAN program, but they are few and far between.

Any guesses on the pay/benefits? I believe lots of sun and sand is part of the package...

No idea, but Bermuda is an expensive place to live so I would imagine it would be worthwhile.

I would in a heartbeat if I didn't have to finish my education. I have 5 years of experience and am currently working as a Network Sys Admin with the Unversity I attend... I'm young and willing to learn any technologies I can get my hands on....I just can't walk away from the degree I've been trying to get for the last 5 years. :p
