Why don't you outsource it to India?

Everyone else is doing it?... ;)

When I was in a hiring-and-firing position, I was always felt that if you didn't care enough to send in a good resume, you didn't care enough to want the job. End of story.

Another term or two to go for me before I'm a grad, unfortunately. I've got Perl down but it's been a year or two since I touched C/C++. Man, guess it's time to brush up. :(

Thanks for what you're doing here Ameesh, bump for publicity!

My brother knows C/C++ and loves Perl (he just told me). Too bad he's got 2 more quarters to go.

Well, I'm kind of anal when it comes to spelling - and i'll be referring you to Dictionary.com for future reference.

Oh, thanks for posting this position. I'm sure someone out there with these qualifications will benefit from this. :)

Do you have more information about the job? eg. Is this a long-term full-time job or contract-based? What does the job involve (software development/design, QA, etc)? What is the working environment like? And if possible, what kinda starting salary does the job offer?

Whoa... a job opportunity? I hope I'll have a job when I get out of this god forsaken masochistic computer engineering program. I should have become a Film major.

Nice to see ATers help eachother out...

The job is for a full time Software Design Engineer which includes all the benefits there in. The working environment is good. people are relaxed and easy going but problems need to be solved pretty quickly, if you cant handle pressure this job isn't for you. Starting Salary is commesurate with the experience of the candidate. the position is open for a junior developer but if you are more qualified it cant hurt to apply as they will be happy to see you too.

What are the requirements for hiring? Does the candidate needs to be a citizen/green card? If not, then I know someone (Indian) who is definitely qualified for this job, let me know, thanks!

so are you looking for fresh out of school or couple years of experience OK ??

I ask this cause I might be tempted to jump from a small boat to a big cruise ship :).

No perl experience, but some shell scripting, java and c++. No .NET either.

I think that's the problem, too many people still a few months away from that degree.
