Job interview question: How do you answer "What is your biggest weakness"?

This question would kill me. I almost minored in Social Psych and quit getting my Masters in Applied Econometrics (19 years ago when I got a job offer I wanted) where we discussed stupid interview questions that Psych majors asked in surveys that were used for statistics. I would have to end up saying, "getting side track by analyzing how a question like that could provide reliable information on how an interviewee would be suitable or unsuitable for a job unless it could be clearly shown that they were giving you a BS answer. Oh, that would be my biggest weakness. Spending more time than is necessary on finding answers for questions with ambigious results?"

Here is how my last interview went:

"What is your biggest weakness?"

"Well, I am usually incredibly detailed oriented, but sometimes they find a body."

"I beg your pardon?"

"Well, what I mean to say is that I am very diligent in wrapping up loose ends at the end of an assignment, but occasionally I let a small detail slip that comes back to haunt me. Fortunately, I am very good at covering my ass and I make sure that someone else's DNA is always left at the scene. If you want to make sure it's never your DNA, I suggest hiring me as your wisest course of action."

I got the job!

Update, the interview went well. Today my wife got an email requesting her to fill out a background investigation form and also sent her a brochure of all the benifits they offer. Looks pretty good so far. If all goes well, all they need to do is come up with an offer that my wife is happy with and they should be set.
