I'm not feeling too nervous, but this A/V tech job (at the university I attend) pays double the minimum wage at $14.50/hour and I get full time during the summer and part time during the school year.

*fingers crossed*

*update*

I had the interview and it went well.

I think I have a decent chance at the job because I have worked for them for the last 2 years (different position), but I think there are others who have applied who might have been there longer than me.

I'll know by friday if I got the job.

*** UPDATE 2 ***

I got the job!

$26K / year to start May 2.

M-F - 7:30 - 3:30

Lighten up the interview process by walking in and saying, "Excuse me while I whip this out" and then pull your resume out of your pants.

Awesome! I just had an internship interview this morning...it LASTED 2.5 hours (had to interview with 4 people in 4 successive rounds.)

What kind of job is it? Salary seems low (but that was my base pay when I started.)

I'm an "audio visual technician" I besically setup and operate A/V equipment, but it's also a desk job when I'm not setting stuff up.

I'm 1.5 years away from my B.Sc so 26k/year is pretty good. Over 4 years or somehing the pay increases to a max of $35K, but chances are I'd eventually move to a higher position and be making 40-50 in that time.

There is LOTS of room for advancement at the university. If I ever got to the Systems Analyst position for one of the departments, I'd easily be making 80K.
