Job Interview Follow Up?

I interviewed for a new position two weeks ago on a Wed. The person interviewing me said that he was going to interview Thur and Fri of that week, be on vacation the following week and finish the interviews when he got back which is this week (Mon.).

I sent a follow up email last week while he was out thanking him for the opportunity to interview and reaffirming my interest in the position. He would have read that this past Monday (yesterday).

Is it too soon to follow up with a phone call?

Due to vacation, probably. I would have waited until this week for the email.

The ball is in his court; do not follow up again unless you go more than a week and a half from now with no contact at all from him.

He's back from a week vacation, likely hasn't even read your email yet. It takes two days just to go through everything for that week.
