Job for a 14 year old?

I'm 14. What kind of jobs could I get?

I'm just looking to make some money to save and to make my own computer. Of course it would have to be something I could do for a few hours after school or on weekends.

I've done web design but I never felt comfortable charging much, plus I wouldn't feel comfortable making one for someone I don't know well.

Yep thats pretty much it, things that other kids do, where do you live, the working age might be low enought where you are that you can get a job in the mall or something. Depends on the working age where you are, mowing lawns, raking leaves, chores, as stated before me "peon" things that no one wants to do...

Prey on the laziness of other people to get work 😀
 
help out around the house, and ask parents for extra money.

i used to get bunch of money (for a little kid) for cleaning bathroom, washing dishes, mowing lawns and other stuff.

Paper rout. That would be before school but still.

I don't know the rules where you live but in Alaska if you're under 16 you can work a real job (bagger at a grocery store, McDonald's - stuff like that) if your parents sign a work permit.
 
I think you have to be 16 in most States for a job at a company of some type except paper routes. That leaves jobs from neighbors or family, be creative.
 
hold the neibors cat hostage..
or babysit for them.
the mowing lawns thang works in the spring/summer.
wash cars, my truck has about 15 pounds of mud on it.
ask your neigbors what they need done work wise....
or get money from the parental units for being an upstanding young man

LMAO... A girl I dated (very briefly) actually helped a 13 year old that somehow came accross an ounce of (an illegal green substance) and showed him how to parcel it out into grams so he could sell it to his friends. I guess he did ok.

As for me, I dropped her like a hot potato.

not where im from. in Ohio you have to be 14.5 16 to work the kitchen since that involved directly touching the food in a "hidden" area.

i should know 😉

If you are a girl, you could probably make some money scamming horny old men on the internet. Just be cautious because some won't let go and might seek you out.
 
The basic kid jobs: mowing lawns, shoveling snow, babysitting and walking dogs. When you reach 16, then you can get legit jobs, then you get taxes and union dues taken out of your paycheck like the rest of us! Yay! Just be glad you can get paid under the table right now.
 
i made over $2000 over a about 3 years of lawn mowing when i was around that age.
$5-10 a lawn depending on size and time.

also did some snow shoveling. a neighbor paid me $50 to shovel their roof once.

what age can you get a real job where you live? I think i was 15 when i got my 1st real PT job. i live in PA.
 
If your neighbors have dogs, offer to wash them, or to police their lawns for poop and clean it up. I know someone who started a business doing that, and he makes a good amount of money. You just need to come up with a better way to tell people that is what you do. Canine sanitation engineer?
