Job-Bound Workers: What did you get out of college?

I wanted to reply to S0me1X's thread, but I realized I'm 8 months out of school. College was the experience of my life. It's basically where I found out what kind of person I am and where I want to go in life. What are your thoughts?

I learned that being book smart is meaningless in the outside world.

I HEAR THAT!!!

My fav is the job counselors that say go into this field there is high demand and high pay. 4-5 years later. That market is SWAMPED.

I got a welder's certificate... I am certifide to climb up I beams and fall off and kill myself...

🙂

Or maybe I am just certifiable...

Probably the best thing to come out of going to college is meeting tons of people who can help you, and whom you can help, find a job later in life. Social networking is one of the definite perks of college life!
