I'm making an application for a position as a broker. Wanted to ask what is the best resume formats these days? One page or two? Should I mention what I do, or should I tailor it to the skills necessary for the job (e.g. structure my work experience around the job criteria)?

You can have two pages, your experience just better warrent it. Chronological is still the best way. You should tailor your resume to the job.
