I have probably asked you this before, but what color is that - it's not factory, right?

I'm starting to think about an SW22. It's now warm here in the land you left behind - gonna be 85 on the beach today! I need to get my Supra out of storage.

It's a Dodge/MOPAR color I think, with possibly some customizing from Black2NA.

Correct me if I'm wrong JLee...

that engine bay is REALLY CRAMPED!

lol, yea, but wait till you see my MK1.5 MR2 with everything in it. Can barely drop a quarter thru it.

That PVC system seems like a bitch of a thing to have on the car. Why they didnt put a stock catch can on in the first place??

I don't know..the Gen3 has one. It was running fine for a while and started acting up again - sure enough, oil in the solenoid. A catch can is a definite must for me now, and I also need to check the turbo for shaft play - starting to wonder if the seals are going. If not, maybe 22psi is just too much to run with the factory PCV vent system.

Sunburst Orange Pearl (Chrysler PV6).

I've decided to order a 1bar wastegate spring - running 22psi of boost from a 7psi spring isn't ideal. I also have a Mishimoto catch can on the way to alleviate the oil-in-solenoid problem.

The list is getting a lot shorter. I've been putting off the quick ratio pinion install for a while, so I want to get to that soon. Stainless brake lines will go in at some point too - maybe Thursday.

Also, a little something else should be shipping back to me from Poland this week. It should add a nice touch. 😀

We're back in business. I'm breaking 20psi in first gear.

It's fun.

Next project - air to water intercooler. With a forecast of 120f today, I don't want to be running the car too hard during the summer...unless I can dump a bag of ice in and be good for a few minutes. 😛

Same overall effect, not sure it'd be as efficient, though. It'd also require a throttle position switch or a boost-activated switch to trigger it. A2W is more complicated as far as running lines, heat exchanger/etc, but I can get an ST205 Celica OEM air to water intercooler that'll bolt right up direct from turbo to throttle body and the wiring will be simpler (accessory-controlled relay to run the pump, that's it).

Oh, also it's a really tight fit with the side mount intercooler now...running lines and a sprayer back there would be a PITA.

No wheel hop (or spin, for that matter). I apparently have ridiculous grip. I'm sure I'll break loose if I launch, but rolling on the throttle in first gear will hook every time.

Man I am jelous. I get crazy wheel hop on anything other than a glass like surface and even then I light em up way too regularly. Need much suspension help still.

What do you have for tires? I'm running 245/40/17 Star Specs, with Eibach Pro-Kit/Koni Yellow suspension and an LSD. I'll have to get a video one of these nights when it's not 120f outside.

255/45/17s. Tires are about 50 percent.

I bet the 120F helps that grip 😛

Manimal: sloppy suspension bushings and/or sloppy motor/trans/diff mounts cause a lot of wheel hop... could that be your issue?

Previous owner upgraded my miata with competition diff mounts, zero wheel hop.

Ya I have a set of energy suspension bushing set waiting to be isntalled when I get new coils.

Funny thing is everything that had visible or extreme wear was replaced. Everything left is just plain old. Car drives fine and smooth. Old means broke in performance right?
