No bites re: selling, but after driving it a bit more often I'm reconsidering my decision to sell it. Now that I have a garage and impending lift, it'll be a lot easier to work on -- and it's been running flawlessly since I replaced the ignition system.

Oh man I hope you keep your mr2...we’re looking at moving to Phoenix and if we do I’m bringing my boosted mr2 spyder with me...haven’t seen a mr2 cruise in awhile...

I miss Phoenix! The driving season in NJ is too short 🙁

Hi again!

Once I finish the Subaru that's sitting in my garage (engine swap), the MR2 is next up on the project list. In rough order of priority:

1) Replace all suspension bushings and check ball joints / tie rod ends
2) Replace cylinder head (I suspect valve stem seals are an issue, plus the exhaust studs are failing)
3) Install engine bay heat shields
4) Wire / configure tachometer
5) Replace exhaust (it's loud - I suspect the packing is all gone)
6) Replace oil pressure gauge with boost gauge
7) Replace or evaluate / repair engine wiring harness
8) Fix horn (clock spring?)
9) Drill out broken bolts and install underbody trays
10) Fix paint with @Black2na (clear has started to break in a few spots) / replace & paint passenger mirror
11) Replace seats
12) Install Android Auto head unit
13) Install sound deadening (or not, depending on exhaust results)
14) Reinstall headlight shrouds
15) Install frunk plastic

I found a junkyard in Ohio that had a few parts I wasn't having much luck finding, so some new things have been added to the list 🙂
