I've been listening to some Jimmy Eat World before - I had never heard their stuff until a few days ago - and it's really quite good.

What would be a good CD for me to buy?

Looking at the track lists I'm thinking 'Jimmy Eat World' (their most recent offering) would be good.

I personally don't like more than one song (The Middle) by them but hey if you like 'em, go for it.

you need to listen to their older album, called Clarity. absolutely wonderful. 10x better than their self-titled album. This album is from before every teenage girl in america even knew who Jimmy Eat World was.

i'll recommend you download the song "A Sunday" from that CD, to start off. Also, "Table for Glasses"

thier self titled album aint bad, my favs on it are "the middle" and "bleed american" (stupidly renamed to "salt sweat sugar" in the big "change anything that can be linked to sept 11th by upto 3 stages of seperation" fad)

and blink182 should be st&aacute;bbed
