Remember, Conan was about as bad as Jimmy Fallon when Conan first started.

It may take a couple years for Fallon to get the hang of it and stop being so damn annoying, but I would be pretty surprised if he pulls it off.

i tried to think that..but i've seen some of conans early shows, and he was never this bad.

I just watched the show with Tom Brokaw....ugh. He had some random cellphone shootout game where 3 people took a picture of a monitor flashing random pictures and they won whatever they shot. It could have been funny, but Jimmy didn't know what to do with himself, the audience didn't laugh, and everyone pretty much stood there.

It should be a prerequisite that talk show hosts be stand-up commedians before they get a show so they know what to do in front of an audience. If his show were a party, I'd leave early.

Tina Fey's pretty funny, and cute. Stewart used to be funny but he's sucked for several years now, ever since he started taking himself too seriously. Colbert has pretty much never been funny, though he does get points for having Rush on his show. (The band, not the guy.) Fallon sucks, of course. Leno's solidly mediocre. Letterman used to be great, and still isn't bad. Conan is awesome.

I love Tina...in both SNL and 30 Rock. Haven't seen Jimmy on his new show, but he was great in SNL.

Dane Cook and Seth Rogan were cool in a movie or two...definitely overhyped and overused.

It's actually been pretty good the last few years. You have to watch those blanket statements.

I watched it on Saturday for the first time in a long time. There were actually a few decent skits, some real misses as well, but I laughed much more than I expected I would.

You're just caught in the hype. I've never had much more than a few chuckles in the time I've watched those 2 guys. They are really awkward in their deliveries. I can go a few shows without even a chuckle.
